Ask 10 people to define clip art and you will likely get 10 unique answers. We all know what it is when we see it but it’s tricky to put into words. After much discussion with a variety of associates and clicking around the Internet, I decided the term "clip art" can be misleading and vague.

With that in mind, read on for some brief definitions and practical usage advice...
